    This can't be normal
I am 33 years old and super morbidly obese. (approximately 480 pounds) I was on birth control pills for years to regulate my cycle which my gynecologist indicated was being affected by PCOS. In August of 2011, I suffered a pulmonary embolism in both lungs, at which point they made me stop taking birth control pills. Without the pills, my life is miserable. I rarly ever stop bleeding. The last time my bleeding stopped completely was last March. Normally it is manageable, requiring 3-4 tampons a day. However, on occasion.. maybe two to three times a year.. the bleeding gets insanely crazy. This is happening now. For two days, I have been bleeding so heavily that I feel like I should just set up camp in the shower. I am afraid to move as it makes it worse. I know most women can exercise and live normally during their period without it affecting the flow so I don't think this is normal. I am using super plus tampons.. this morning around 30 minutes after changing I stood up to go to the restroom and blood just splashed all over the floor.. my living room looked like a crime scene. I am also passing very large clots. I don't understand how it is possible to soak through a super plus tampon so quickly like it's not even there. I am concerned because I don't know how to make this stop. I have no health insurance so I can no longer see my gynecologist. I am so discouraged. I feel like I can't deal with this much longer. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to address this issue? Thanks in advance!

Get to an ER! You don't need health insurance to get care there and to see a doctor.
