Do I have acute or chronic anal fissures?
I've read about it online a lot but I'm still not sure which I have right now..

I've had anal fissures for years so it's nothing new to me. But I haven't had it for 6 months prior to December 14th 2012 and that was the first time it came back in a long time... I usually get them every month or 2 months.

But the thing is, my anal fissures goes away in a day.. once I have it for a day, it's gone the next. I know because I don't get blood when I pass a stool anymore after that.

But it comes back a little faster than normal now... it came back again on December 28th, 2 weeks later, but again, it happened once and it was gone after that and then it came back now just a little over 2 weeks, today... I'm pretty sure it'll be gone by tomorrow again but I knew it would happen because I felt a stinging feeling just before I had to go. But the weird thing is that the stinging pain is gone after you go :/

Anyway I'm not sure if this is considered acute or chronic because it says it's only chronic if it doesn't heal within 6 weeks but is it not healed then even after it stops bleeding the day after it happens for me, despite it coming back a couple weeks later just once again?

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor.

There's absolutely no way to give an accurate diagnosis online, and self diagnosing from things you've found on the internet, is very dangerous.

    See your doctor.
