    My doxie had a pinched neve
    My vet says my doxie had a pinched neve from back disc right leg is very weak gave predinisone and crated what's his chance

    Dogs with pinched nerves or inflamed discs need lots of strict rest... meaning.. he is either in his crate or in your arms unless he needs to go potty.. and than that's on a leash. Prednisone is a major anti-inflammatory.. and sometimes it will help the symptoms go away.. Sometimes this rest with the medications will save you from having to find a neurologist due to IVDD.

    IVDD is not fun and is extremely painful for the dog. Follow all directions given to you by your vet to the T... ignore the sad brown eyes and the constant whining to get out.. he needs to be locked up for probably 6wks or longer.
