Bad egg donation experience.do I have a lawsuit?
Hello and thanks in advance for reading this and advising me.
I donated my eggs and developed severe ovarian hyperstimulation symdrome (OHSS). I know this is a potential risk of taking the fertility drugs associated with egg donation but I feel that my situation resulted from negiligence on the part of my doctor. The egg donation procedure involves daily injections of hormones that stimulate the ovaries to produce lots of eggs. Throughout my injections I was monitored by blood hormone levels and ultrasound. The ultrasounds were performed by different two different doctors (Drs A and B) and the results were to be reported to the main doctor (Dr L) in charge of my procedure. I found out later that Dr L didn't receive accurate information about my condition and if he new how I was initially responding to the drugs (by ultrasound) he would have discontinued the procedure. I later found out through a newspaper article that DRs A, B, and L had a terrible working relationship. Drs A and B were married and Dr A accused Dr L of sexual harassment. I feel that this hostile work environment also manifested in poor patient care. I feel that I have suffered from their unprofessional behavior. I had OHSS (a painful condition in itself) for over a week and required abdominal drainage. In addition a month later I had an ovarian torsion that required surgery to remove the ovary. Dr L said that the torsion was probably a result of the enlargement of the ovary from OHSS.
I feel like this was an unfortunate situation and that these Drs should be accountable for their negligance.
    Any advice would be appreciated!

But before you do so, be sure you have a medical expert on board who is willing to testify that what was done or not done amounts to medical malpractice. It may seem to be clearly negligent to medical laymen such as us, but the courts in many jurisdictions require a medical professional to tell them that.
