    Shower faucet combo
    Not very sure what the reply meant. If I took the faucet off and ran it through just the pipe why would that fix from the water going to the shower head.

    Please make your responses on the same thread in the "Answer this Question" block.

    Take the spout off, not the valve.

    The water only goes up the shower riser pipe if it can't come out the tub spout. Removing the spout will tell you if the obstruction is in the spout itself. If water comes out both the pipe for the spout and the shower with the spout removed, then the obstruction must be in the valve or the tub piping.

    Also the spout diverter valve could be defective.

    I removed the spout and ran the water into a bucket it did not seem to come out of the shower head until the water filled up and the pipe was under water what's your ideas
