Tooth abscess with a small leak
- (part) of a tooth abscess seems to be leaking pus/blood. Should I encourage it to drain by sucking on or squeezing it, or will it drain naturally.

You should get to see the dentist ASAP, this can lead to other serious health issues

Already been to a dentist. On antibiotics and planning on a root canal.soon. I'm just not sure if I should help it drain. Will it heal up and require a second burst?

It isn't like a pimple which will drain outwards and you can't treat it that way. No you can't put pressure on it to release the infection, it could go the other way, into other openings and cause more damage then you could imagine.
Your dentist has to know what is going on so he can deal with it. That is what yiu

Well, you don't need to squeeze it, because it is open and as soon as any pressure is build inside with the formation of more pus, it will come out automatically. There is no severe risk at this point, because your body found a way of delivering it out. But that fistula (that is called a fistula) is a sign that you need a root canal treatment. You should book a dental appointment to take care of that.
