Squealing noise in clothes dryer westinghouse
Hi
I have this high pitch squealing noise coming from my Westinghouse stacker washer dryer. I've seen other posts saying it might be a front roller or even worse drums? It lasts for about a minute then stops. Near the end of the cycle it comes back on. Any help would be appreciated. On a tight budget.

Does noise happen when you operate empty? Or is noise less? Look at bearings / wheels - clean lint out of these and try oiling??

Noise continues empty. How do I look at the bearings/wheels? Lint has been cleaned. Not sure how to oil rollers or bearings.

You will have to open machine... removing screws, etc to get access to place where wheels/rollers are located.
Most dryers start with : 1) removing two screws in lint trap door; 2) pry top up from front, 3) remove wire from top right inside of dryer for front door switch, 4) remove two(2) screws from front panel, 5) lift front panel to take front panel OFF...
The drum will fall slightly down in front but you will be able to view stuff and all the lint at bottom where motor is.
There may be a bearing at back of machine... I believe westinghouse may hay kit to fix if drum is wobbling from that back bearing

The more I think about this... I now believe that that is the high squeak from the center rear support of drum. Check with parts appliance store near you and they will show what has to done to drum AFTER you take machine apart. Good luck and mail me back... walt

The dryer is squealing like crazy - it sounds like rubbing or slipping, and there's a definite rhythm to it.
