    Covering drains from toilet
    A man unstoped the drain that lead from my toilet. He put a hole in it, then unstoped it. He then put some plastic over the hole temporarly. What are the best permanently covering for that hole?

    What is drain made of?

    What is size of hole?

    Where is it located?

    Can you post a picture?

    More info and we may be able to help you out. However, for future reference please call in a qualified plumber to take care of these issues. A person that comes in and does what that person did is unacceptable in our trade. Any true plumbing professional will not do this. They will do the job correctly from start to finish, leaving you nothing to worry about doing yourself. To merely open a portion of the sewer, and then simply use plastic to seal it just doesn't cut it. I would suggest never having that person back in my home for purposes of any type of home maintenance or repair. Actually, the more I think about this, the more steamed I get. Leave the real work to real men, and let the half assers find their own way.

    Yeah, I'm going to echo MGD77's sentiments.

    A reasonable/intelligent person would simply remove the toilet and access the drain that way! This is poor workmanship and someone that doesn't really know what he is doing!

    Need the information Chuck asked for in the first post to provide the proper answer, OK?

    Answer all of the above questions and I have a few options,
    1- You could cut in a cleanout tee. **or**
    2- You could simply install a saddle clamp over the hole.
