Hi, I'm 19 and I'm having some problems. When I was 18 I took birth control faithfully and had regular periods but I got off birth control and I continued to have regular periods but then on September 21 I had my last period and afterwards I didn't have a period for a year. I thought I was pregnant at first but I went to the doctors and I wasn't then they told me that it was fine but I mean a year is a long time. Out of no where I had one period on oct, 6 2012 and that was it until now and still no period. I want to have a baby but I'm afraid I'm screwed and infertile! Please help me and tell me which way to go because my obgyn hasn't told me a thing.

Many times when a woman used to be regular, and then suddenly stops having a period, it's because of dramatic weight loss, or being severely underweight.

There's no way to determine if you're infertile on the internet, and no doctor will even send you to a fertility specialist until you've actively been trying to conceive for at least a year with no results. That's not something I'd recommend at the age of 19.
