    Brown spotting before expected period
    I am 17 and on my second month of Alesse28. I had unprotected sex 3 days into the new pack. Now I am 7 days before my expected period and I'm experiencing light brown spotting and cramps. What does this mean?

    Are you aware no form of birth control is 100% effective...


    We have two site moderators that got pregnant despite using multiple forms of birth control at the same time... one of them had it happen TWICE. And she's a nurse in obstetrics. Meaning she works delivering babies and works in the ER. You can be certain she knew how to do it right.

    There is several things it MIGHT be... breakthrough bleeding... or even implantation bleeding. The former is more likely than the latter, but both are possible.
