    Should a 1099 be issued based on a cash or accrual basis?
    Should a 1099 be issued based on a cash or accrual basis? Can't find any data in IRS documents.

    MOST of the time it is CASH basis, since most businesses operate on a CASH basis.

    The accounting basis of the business dictates how the 1099 is issued.
