System starts clicking and outside fan goes on and off repeatedly in defrost cycle
I have a Rudd heat pump. Intermittently when the system is to go into the defrost mode/cycle the outside fan goes: on/off, on/off... and at the same time there's a click, click, click,.
Is there a way for me to check the defrost board and/or the reversing valve?
    Or am I fishing?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ken
