    Severe hip pain
For the past couple of days I have had a severe pain in my hip, it feels like they are in a vice. The pain is so severe I have not had a significant amount of sleep because the pain wakes me up and the only comfortable position I can find is sitting down and even there the pain is still persistent. I am on birth control and have been in bed the last couple of days due to the flu. I am just wondering if this is just from being in bed Or something more serious?

We can't diagnose you via the internet. It could be nothing more than muscle spasms or it could be as serious as a blood clot. Time to seek medical attention.
