    mears electric heat thermostats
The Mears 220v thermostat for our ceiling heat has (had) a resistor wired parallel with the leads going to the ceiling wires. The insulating sleeve disintegrated allowing the resistor to short against the metal case. There is nothing remaining of the resistor but powder. What was its value?
