My 5 year old lab got into the garbage a couple of nights ago and since then every time she drinks water she throws up.. She eat food and is fine but as soon as she drinks the water she throws up again. She is still very playful and acting fine but what should I do before I take her to the vet?

Is she going to the bathroom the same as before? Is she coughing like she has anything stuck in throat? How many days has it been going on exactly?

Yes she is still going to the bathroom normally, nothing of alarm at all in either her pee or Bm's. I just boiled a little brown rice and mixed it with a little water and she ate it had a little water from her water bowl and has kept everything down so far (going on 30 min) this has been happening since Wednesday night, if she drinks too much water she vomits, if she drinks a little she's OK.

I would say a vet check up is in order. Poor little girl. I am glad you are getting liquids into her as dehydration can be deadly for our furbabies. I would suggest a call at the very least to your vet, to see what they say. If she stops going to the bathroom, strains to poop. Poops blood then get her to a vet right away.
