Purpose of chemical dosing unit

Hello sir,

I need to know purpose of Chemical Dosing System, Deaerator Unit, Sand seperator unit, Side filteration unit which are normally installed in Chilled Water Network.

I am a new enterant in HVAC field & seek your guidance.
