    Evicting an adult son from our home
    We need to evict our adult som from our home he is a drug addict n refuses help. We can not let him live input home due to his disruptive behavior.

    Removing a resident from your home is the same whether they are a relative or not.

    The process depends on local laws (ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. ) But the general process is to give them a 30 day written notice to vacate. If they haven't vacated by the deadline then you go to court for an eviction order. A hearing is ordered, and an eviction order granted. If he still hasn't vacated, you can hire a sheriff to remove his belongings.

    There is an alternative if there are doing illegal or violence issues. You can call the police then get a restraining order to prevent him from returning.
