    Faulty pedals
    For some reason,whenever I press the gas or brake pedal,I hear this noise like a bang,as if something is loose or there are parts that are touching.my car is a 1989 honda civic LX,4dr,manual transmission.it has 139,000 miles.the problem happens when the car is stopped and then I start to drive,I hear the noise coming from underneat the steering column,the area where the pedals are located especially in the middle underneat the dashboard.what could be wrong?

    Inspect the CV joints (inner and outer) and half axles. Look for a possible split boot and grease flung all around.
