I've been pu on the pill, I came offthe pill so I could come on, it took three days for me to come on and now my period is brown and I usually bleed really heavy, but it's just like half big/small blobs of brown. (not spotting) help? X

Basically I'm asking could my being on the pill affect how my period comes out? Normally I have a red period, but this time it is brown.

The pill usually regulates your period. Brown discharge is usually a sign of old blood expelling from your body.

Fact is, no form of birth control is 100%.

But, what your period does, really depends on a lot of things, the form of birth control you're taking is one, infection is another, and pregnancy is yet another... and there's more.

If pregnancy is your concern, wait a week or two and try a pregnancy test using first morning urine. Pregnancy is possible, even while on the pill.
