Should my entire period be brown?
Ok so I believe this is my third period, so I am obviously irregular. My mom said that it was normal for my first period to be brown and "clumpy" but this is my third and it is still brown and clumpy for all seven days. I get no normal-red color on my pad/underwear. But, I do get red blood when I wipe after the bathroom (Sorry! TMI!) And also, I don't think I need a tampon yet because during my period it is on and off heavy and light. Shouldn't I have a regular red (and regular flow) period by now?

I wouldn't be to worried about it yet. This all sounds normal. You can ask your parent to take you to the doctor if it will make you feel more sure of things, but you are young and this is new. I remember my first few periods were so light and brown I actually thought it was me not wiping good enough on the other end.. LOL TMI? :) If you are NOT sexually active I would stay away from tampons all together. Pads are the best thing for your body right now. Hope that helps. Good luck to you.
