Mesh Or Paper For Drywall ?
I Am About To Tape 22 Sheets Of Drywall In My Basement & I Intended To Use Mesh & Paper For The Corners,But Most Comments On Youtube Recommend Paper For Everything.. I Used Mesh In Two Rooms Upstairs 5 Year Ago And Put The Premix Right Out Of The Bucket On All The Seams & Up To This Day It Is The Best Job In My House (With No Cracks).. They Say U Cannot Use Regular Plaster On The First Coat With Mesh... I Did & So Far So Good.. What Should I Do ? Also What Is The Best For Inside & Out Side Corners.. I Got Metal On All My Corners Now,But There Are Other Corners To Get ? Question # 2.. I Am Installing T- Bar In My Basement.. Size 19ft x 27ft.. Should It Be 24x24 Or 24x48.. What Would Be Better Looking For That Space?. Thinking U In Advance.

    Welcome to AMHD

Use what you are comfortable with. The thoughts vary from person to person. I prefer the mesh. I can usually eliminate one coat when using mesh. With paper you need a starter coat which is not needed with the mesh.

The 24'' x 24'' tile are easier to install if you have minimum space between grid and ceiling beams. You also have a multitude of designs and finishes with the 23''x 24''.
