    My circulating pump makes noise, the water temperature gauge on the furnace goes to 220 deg F and the furnace shuts down. Could it be that the circulating pump is not circulating the water?

    If the pump is making noise, that's not a good sign. Are you getting heat in the baseboards or radiators?
