I am thinking of building a mechanical dryer using only firewood. My idea is to build a tank on one end which will serve as my boiler and attached to it is a pipe that networks out into 4 40 meters long x 8 ft wide by 3 inches deep tub which will be filled with about 2 and 1/2 inches of water. The outside of the tub will be insulated with thermal insulator on the side and the bottom. The entire tub will be covered with 40 meters long by 8 ft wide 1.2mm stainless sheet. These will be sealed shut with a gasket on the sides. My problem is I am only hoping to use one boiler at one end and I need to achieve a minimum of 55 degrees Celsius surface temp on the cover stainless sheet up to the very far end of the 40 meters. I am hoping that if I can seal the sides and not allow stem to escape, I will be able to achieve this. Is this physically possible? If not, any advice?
