I recently purchased a 635 watt stereo receiver. Can I continue to us my 115 watt surround sound speakers? Both speakers and receiver are 8 ohm.

Mostly it depends on how your system is set up to handle speakers. Is it set up as total watts? 4 channel 150 watts per channel ? Is there a separate driver for bass? If you received the owners manual with the system it should tell you how to set up your system. If not then it may be possible to look it up online.

A lot is going to depend on how your system divides up the watts in total.
