Two story internal extension in warehouse
Having a two storey internal extension in warehouse
Can the second storey be constructed without steel beams either end for support ?
The builder has constructed the ceiling floor with wooden joists , the wood screwed into the walls and the joists held up by steel brackets attached to the wood

Is this going to be strong enough ?

That depends on size of area you are working with.

I built a second floor that was 60 feet long and 20 feet wide . Used a 15 inch "I" beam and suspended it from the domed roof tresses.

Both outside edges of floor beams rested on walls

No heavy equipment on second floor, just tables and hand assembly.
