Hii, as I was in old navy shopping got jewellry and sweaters for ma kids, but since the jewellery were bothering me holding them in my hand and they were falling on the floor so I decided to put them in my pastic bag I was holding and I said when I get to cashier I will take them out to pay since I was in a rush to pick my son from school and I had a docter appointment for my son as well do I forgot that I had sum stuff in my plastic bag and I just paid for the sweaters and left, at the moment I was out of the door the security guard came and said I was under arrest and I was very shocked that I didn't know what was going on they took me to the bak room and said empty your bag, den I realized that I forgot to pay for the jewellry I ask for appoligize and tell them that was not my intention to steal honestly I wanted to buy the stuff and am ready to pay for them but the security ignord me and said that not an excuse, I told him this has never happened to me anda it's my first time I didn't mean to do it intentionlly but he didn't listen he called the coop and I was give a blue paper for the court and finger print date... Am so shaking because I had never had any criminal record in my life and I had never being into trouble with any police cases since this is my first and ever, and I did not inted forget the stuff purpossely, am so worried if this criminal record will be droped because I applied for my citizen ship too... please help me what to do because ma court date is on January 2013.

Intent means nothing.. the fact you conceiled the items is all the proof they need to win.

One of the empleyee saw me chossing and decidng on which one to select, I did not did it secretly because I was searchng for the size of sweaters and the jewellry were dropping so den I decided to put dem in the plastic bag which I was holding... I talked to one of the olready and he said to me, just go on your first day court explain everything and say you are not guilty then the court will give me another trial on which my lawyer will be their..

They tell you to plead not guilty.. the fact is they saw you do it and you had it when you walked out the door which sealed your fate.

However follow what your lawyer tells you... the stakes are high.
