    Hi Russelltan

I would suggest going out and purchasing a CO detector... super cheap device ($20.00-$40.00) that will sound an alarm if CO levels exceed safe levels. Put the detector exactly where the manufacturer says to put it (usually 6 feet off the floor) for best results!

If you purchase one that plugs into a wall receptacle, then obviously you will plug that in at the height of you outlet!

I would recommend that you have this device whether the boiler was questionable or not! Simply put, these devices save lives so please go get one and install ASAP!

What I would do is call The Health Department and tell them what the plumber told them. Then ask them to come out and check. Their report ought to get your landladys attention. Good luck, Tom

I also checked all the other faucets in the house, and all the hot and cold worked fine. Is there something else I should...
