    Spousal maintenance
    My wife and I only experienced marriage for 11 months. She has filed for divorce. When we got married, I was receiving unemployment benefits but eventually it ran out. I'm now in another city on my own and don't know where my next meal is coming from. I want to seek spousal maintenance until I can get employed again. Am I eligible?

    My guess-you are in Texas. According to Tx laws spousal maintenance /a.k.a. alimony/ is not awarded if the marriage lasted less than 10 years.
