    Pregnant
My mother has made me sit in room for four days straight. And its because I'm pregnant. She won't let me go to my Obgyn , Or get my prenatal vitamins. She wants my baby to die either by abortion , or my a miscarrige. But I don't want a abortion. So because I'm 16 and live in Maryland , do I have the right to leave out and go to the doctors myself? She threatened if I go to the doctors she's going to tell the police I ran away and to lock me up , what do I do ?

I'm going to ask that this be moved to the legal forum, since you are asking a question that's based on the law.

I'm not a legal expert, but, what your mother is doing is denying health care to you. That's not legal, nor is it okay. She has no right to determine what you do with your body, and if you don't want an abortion, she can't force you to get one.

I would suggest that you call the police, tell them that you're being kept against your will and being denied health care. But I'm not 100% sure that's the right thing to do. That's just what I would do.

Hopefully the legal experts will come along and give you legal advice. I'll ask them to move your question, and wish you good luck.

No, I told you that I'd ask the mods to move it to the legal forum. I didn't tell you to re-post. Re-read what I wrote.

Either way, posting it on every forum you can find, but the legal forum, is not the way to go about this. Also, the thread I responded to was the second thread about this topic. Why did you re-post it in the same forum as the last time? Didn't like the answers you got?

I did like the answer you gave me! But I read it wrong and I thought I had to find the legal forum and post it myself , I don't know the rules. I just need to know if there's somebody that can tell me I can leave my house and go to my doctor apointments without my mothers permission , If there's away they can she I'm trying to take care of myself , and she won't let me. Or if there's a way somebody can take me away from this home.

Just wait. We only have a few mods, and they volunteer like the rest of us, that means that they can't be here 24/7. It could take some time to move your thread. Be patient, okay?

I'm sorry that you misunderstood what I wrote. Don't start any more threads, just wait for your other one to be moved, and these will be deleted. Then you have to wait again because the legal experts are also volunteers. We all are. It can take some time to get an answer. Check back often, and hopefully someone will have the answer. Sadly I don't. I only know what I'd do if I were you, but that doesn't mean that what I'd do is the legal answer to your problem. Okay?

You are in a catch 22 situation. At 16 there isn't much you can do on your own. But making decisions for your child to be is one thing you can do by law. So the next step is what to do about it. If your mother reports you as a runaway and you have all your papers with you concerning your appointment and your not out doing other things then your not a runaway. The police should they find you either going to or coming from will make you aware of social services that can be offered to you for your situation. How old is the father of this child and what State is this happening in?
