    Water in the fabric softner compartment
    My kenmore elite washer has had water left in the fabric softner compartment when the cycle is complete. When starting the next load and adding liquid fabric softner, as usual, the remaining water causes over flow because of the remaining water. It does not appear to be leftover fabric softner as the water is clear.
