1992 honda accord overheating and changing idles
Hey everyone I have a 1992 Honda Accord, and just recently it started overheating. I noticed it when I turned my car on and about 3 minutes later, the idle would change from normal to about 3000 rpms and would repeat. As this is going on the temp would rise, someone suggested my water pump went out, is this a viable answer? I don't know much about cars, and the only history I have with my car, is it leaks oil, but I only need to put in about 2 quarts every month or so.

OK, got to let you know that if you car is non vtec then it takes 4 quarts total, if it is then your care takes 4.5 quarts TOTAL.
YOU ARE LOSING HALF OF YOUR OIL IN A MONTH.
Its not "only" two quarts a month, that is a big issue.
Overheating issue could be a multitude of things but is it worth it?
