Intertherm gas furnace, model mgh 065-awbn 06
I was red tagged by the gas company on my Intertherm gas furnace and the tag says "leak on pilot button on control box." How do I get this replaced or repaired?

Probably not worth repairing if you can. You need a new gas control valve. Buy an aftermarket valve but safest way is to have an HVAC company do it. What prompted the inspection, smelling gas?

Yes, and I was told it had to be a licensed contractor who installs it. I am getting quotes up to $400, is there any way of me purchasing the product myself

If you know the exact part number of the valve you can check on line to see who sells them BUT I do not recommend you try to install it since it does take special tools to set the proper gas pressure etc. Good luck with your repair.
