Hi, I'm a 16 yo female in Florida, and have been treated at St Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa. About 2 months ago, I began losing weight, and have lost 20 lbs now. A couple weeks after I started losing my appetite and weight, I realized that I had become more and more clumsy, falling and dropping things far more often than I usually did, and one night, I came home, and looked in the mirror to find my skin and eyes extremely jaundiced. We went to the doctor the next day, and there was no trace of it ever happening, but I had very low blood pressure (as low as 70/30, usually in the 90/60 range) and very sharp pain in my middle left abdomen, and I was admitted to a children's hospital and stayed for nine days. During my stay I had multiple xrays(nothing), ultrasounds(multiple follicles in ovary), and other tests(meccyl scan(nothing abnormal), GES(I now have gastroparesis), colonoscopy(pristine, minor colon inflammation), endoscopy(nothing), stool cultures and tests(luccasites and blood and white blood cells found), and blood work(BUN, albumin and creatinine were out of range(I can't remember but I believe they were all low)). After being released I have experienced these incidents(only three several minute times over two weeks) where my eyesight(goes black, as if adjusting to lighting change, but doesn't go away), hearing(ears get hot, feel filled with fluid(no actual fluid) can barely hear), and ability to breathe well(chest is heavy) are affected. I have had pain not only in the original place, but now have terrible pain in all of my lower and central abdomen(feels like gas almost but very painful and immobilizing), and in several places on my back(lower left and right, and one place on the middle of my spine). I've had bouts of extreme itchiness that affect all over my body. I do have scoliosis, two fused vertebrae, a hemivertabra, and a syrinx all in L3-4 area, and had a two vessel umbilical cord(single umbilical artery, SUA). I have a weird kind on skin rash that has no texture, but looks like dark tan with pale dots throughout on the insides of my thighs, I don't know if this is related. I also have masking on my cheeks under my eyes(doctor thought it was relevant). I just want to know what I should do from here. I have a pill camera endoscopy on Wednesday, and a full brain and spine MRI after that. After two months of being sick, and my clueless doctors referring to me as "Mystery Girl", we're thinking about going somewhere else, maybe even out of state, if it would make any difference. I am in my junior year of high school, and do not have time for serious illness, I just want this over. What should I do, does anyone know what could be wrong with me?

You haven't received an answer to your first post and you won't get one from this either. We don't diagnose on AMHD because it is extremely difficult to do this on the internet as you can well imagine.

I would suggest you start with another doctor and get a second opinion. I don't know what all of these tests are but to my way of thinking, they don't understand your issues, or your ability to explain them.

Why don't you print off your post to us and maybe then someone, some doctor will have some insight into what is happening with you.

Where are your parents in all of this travelling around, all of these tests? What do they think is the next step?
