Is kenmore HE2 Plus #47532 a good washer?
Iam actually planning to buy my first washer for my new house. I saw this Kenmore HE2 3.5 Plus #47532. I came to know that not all Kenmore washers are made by whirlpool and we can firgure that out from a model #. I could nt find the model no on the tag.
Can someone know the model no for this particular model or confirm its made by whirlpool? A feedback is also appreciated.
My other option is Whirlpool Duet sport 3.3. Can someone help me choose one?

Hi, I would not buy either one. We have been going through washing machine "heck", have had three Kenmore top loaders in the last month or so, all of which the sales people swore could pump up from a basement, none of the models could. The salesperson then try to talk us into the model you are considering, I did considerable research and probably read 30 bad reviews on this machine. Additionally, I had six pages of poor reviews that I cut and pasted from the Sears website into my files about the various machines we tried, Sears has since deleted all reviews from the website. I would not buy anything from them. I also researched the Whirlpool Sport Duet, didn't read much good about those either. We are getting a Frigidaire front loader and we are DEFINITELY not buying it from Sears.

The reason I researched the kenmore was I got a free kenmore elite king size gas dryer from craigslist in a like new condition. Brand new this puppy went for 1100 bucks. The lady told me she had replaced the main board already and now it was not drying her clothes. It was heating but took too long to dry. She simply bought a new one and I got this one free.
As it turned out, I completely disassembled this thing to 'fix' it. The only thing I found was a lint build up that caused it to overheat and cycle the flame off. As it also turns out this dryer is very easy to service once you know how. I am glad I got it and glad I did all I did.

I'm no sure about others, but I had this washer now for 6 months and THANK GOD it's doing great, I got it with the matching dryer, and I really love it, it cleans very well and does the job perfectly.Only use HE washing detergent, and whip the belt with clean warm water and some vinegar from time to time also do cleaning cycle with chlorine bleach as referred to in the catalog, also don't forget to leave the door open for a while after each cycle to help it dry out. So the point is to take care of your washer always. Hope this helps.

No. We just bought our Kenmore HE2 electric dryer in 2007. We had to replace the electronic sensor this morning. Not only were we charged $75 for the house call. Sears charged another $75 for the repairman to 'find' the problem! The sensor cost was minimal This dryer was only 2 years old!

Our Sears Elite HE2 both washer and dryer both tend to BALL up the fitted sheets by stuffing the towels into the corners then running forever and not gettting them dry, My wife uses her outside voice with her New York City slang to express her feelings about the $4k we spent.

I hate to say this but my husband and I just a brought a new kenmore washer and dryer about 2 months ago. I would never buy another kenmore the washer smell if you don't leave the door open also there is a ordor left in the clothes. I just don't think is cleans like the older models. Want a good washer buy maytag or whirl pool. We are getting rid of ours. The salesman will tell you anything to make a sale. We got had.
