I am a man asking on the behalf of my beautiful girlfriend. She is in Afghanistan and her vagina is red, swollen, sore and this morning she tells me she had a green dicharge. We have treated for what we thought was a yeast infection and it helped for about 2-3 weeks. She tok a douche, monistat 3, 2 or 3 day treatment, I think tampoons and amoxicillin. Could it be fungal and not bacterial and if so is it safe to treat both at the same time i.e. amoxicillin and anti-fungal pills together? Please help it is miserable there with no illnesses, I know I just got back myself.

There is no way to tell you what sort of infection your girlfriend has, not over the internet.

I can tell you that green discharge is not normal, and is indicative of an infection, but she'll have to go to the doctor to figure out what sort of infection she has.
