I have been with my girlfriend for almost 2 years. We known each other for 12 years we used to date in high school for 2 years. I am now 30 yrs old. We got back together with plans for marriage because we both realized we loved each other still after all this time apart.

Now that we are together we had some issues and she has been busy with work.I felt she was acting distant so I investigated. I saw her phone messages caught her flirting with one of her coworkers and she lied to my face about it when I confronted her. She lied to me a lot recently. She deleted texts even she said she wouldn't she promised me she won't flirt with him anymore but still continues. I was in the hospital this past 2 days because I fainted. I am OK but I found out she was still texting this guy and he texted her while I was at hospital says he can't stop thinking about her. I saw it and got very upset and also found out she was still deleting messages. It's because they kept on flirting.

I love this girl with all my heart. She broke it by lying and flirting. I had engagement ring for her already. Then she admitted finally that she liked the guy because we had some issues with our relationship. Now I told her I love her even though she broke my heart. But I can't be with her if she continues to work with this guy.

She says she loves me still and is willing to work it out. I told her I can't be with her if she continues to work with him because I won't be able to trust her when she isn't around for her 15 hour shifts. I lost all trust in her and it hurts very much. She says she willing to quick her crazy job and start over with me. So today she went to work and will tell her boss she going to quit.

I put the engagement ring on her and she accepted it. Told her its for new beginnings. I am waiting for her to come home today and see I she really quit her job.

Am I being stupid? Do you guys feel she will really be able to love me again? She says she loves me but does all these lies and hiding stuff makes me crazy. I am wiling to try again if she quits and never talks to that guy again.

What hurts the most is knowing that while I was planning my proposal to her. She was busy flirting, lying and having feelings for someone else.

I think it is ridiculous that you don't trust her but have asked her to quit her job and marry you, and it is foolish if she quits her job. She is obviously cheating, likes this guy, it's obvious you don't trust her. End this relationship.
