I have been on my period for 11 days.
I have been on my period for 11 days now, and I have a family history of tumors growing on the uterus. I am 19 years old and have not missed a period, I am on birth control and have a doctors appointment on Monday. The first 2 days I had extremely bad cramps, I threw up 3 times and could not keep any food down. I am worried about what could be wrong. So my question is what could cause this?

    Heythere.

All right now I don't want to scare you, but honestly go see your doctor; There are many causes of abnormal bleeding that would be of concern, such as
Hormone imbalance, infection, or abnormal growths of the uterus or the ovaries. Significant physical or emotional stress can also cause irregular periods. The average menstrual period lasts for 5 days.

Bleeding for more than 7 days is abnormal and is known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). But sometimes a miscarriage can cause bleeding like that. Is your flow really heavy? Be sure to take your good multivitamin with iron in it because you're losing a good bit of iron right now. You could also have a fallopian tube pregnancy and be bleeding from the failure of that. They are aware that women can have this kind of trouble, so be insistent. This is your body and your reproductive health.

-Theres many possibilities that can happen, I think just go doctors and you'll get prescription medicine to stop the bleeding, be careful of using the pill, as that's what caused mine, try not to skip and take same time each day. I'm sure it's nothing serious but doctors just encase.

No, it is not a heavy flow, and I don't think it is any of the pregnancy ones because the last time I had sex was the beginning of September and I had a regular period in October so I am pretty sure that I am not pregnant
