I don't remember was that cartoon or anime I am not sure . All I remember is that in first episode was about a girl who lived alone in her own home witch was pretty big almost like a estate and in her backyard she plays chess with a robot then she goes to room where her fathers picture is and some how gets behind it and then she reduces to her child self and transported to another world and then she gets or finds a robot that is designed to protect her. And then it turns out thous robots in her house are there to watch her and not to allow her to go anywhere. Once she goes to that other world they go after her.

This cartoon or anime was long ago I believe somewhere between 2000 - 2005 at least that when I watched it on German TV Toggo or super RTL I am not sure witch one.
