    Is my mum too protective?
She doesn't allow me to go home alone. Everyone has been going home alone since they were about nine- I'm the only one I know my age with someone tagging along everywhere they go. I'm 13. She keeps on telling me that she "is considering the problem" and she "might let me next year". But she told me that last year, and the year before that.

She doesn't allow me to have a Facebook. She says that I will be rebellious and lazy if I do. Everyone I know does. It's awfully embarrassing every time I meet someone new then they ask me for my Facebook- when I explain that I have none, they often couldn't restrain their awed/curious expressions. I used to have this friend in primary school, but she has now made her own group of friends on FB. I often get the feeling that she would have ignored me if her friends were in the same class as we are in... It's hard to make new friends now that everyone is in their own rigid little circle.

Please answer my question! Thank you!

If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?

No, your mother is not overprotective. Actually she seems like a very smart woman.
