The other night my boyfriend and I went out to dinner. We live separately and I had to get up early the following morning. He insisted I come up to his apartment to hang out with him for a little. I said OK and went up. I'm in the living room on the couch Watching TV alone while he goes into the other room to call his friend and laugh on the phone like an idiot for 20 minutes so I got my stuff and began to leave. I told him why the hell would you invite me up and then walk out of the room when you know I could only stay 20 minutes anyway?

Also, our time together is very limited maybe 2 hours a night tops-which is why this situation makes me more upset. He got loud and nasty as usual told me I need to grow up. He never ever apologizes even if he's wrong. Mind you he's 35 years old. I am 25. I stormed out of his apartment and haven't heard from him since. 2 days have past. This morning I sent him a long text telling him he needs to change his selfish ways and treat me right. No response.

Why is he ignoring me knowing I'm upset? We have been through a lot together and it baffles me why he's still playing games.

Usually after a lovers spat, both of you separate until you cool off, and can be calm, and work it out between you.

Right or wrong, he is as upset as you are. Talk calmly later, leave him alone until then. Maybe he realizes his wrongs, and maybe you realize yours. The point is you both have to cool off.

Ok I understand that but you ignore someone for days? To me it is a form of control and " punishment" for me wanting an apology! I have dealt with a lot from the guy and when I'm wrong I'm the first to admit it. I think it's wrong to have to deal with this from someone. He has no empathy for anyone else's feelings but his own. How long is too long in the silent game and is terms for a breakup?
