    Electronic ballast replacement
I think I need to replace my ballast, the bulbs are new. It has 10 wires, 2 blue, 2 green, 2 red, 2 yellow, black and white. The blue and green wires go to one side and the red, yellow, black and white go to the other. I can not find this at any of my local hardware stores, i.e. Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace. Where can I find this configuration. I am presuming I should buy a comparable ballast. The house is 5 years old, and only one of the two lights is out, that is why I presume I need to replace the ballast only. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Take the old ballast with you to an electrical supply house...
A new ballast needs to match the old one.

Without lamp information I can only guess that your existing ballast is magnetic rather than electronic. You may have to do some re-wiring to make an electronic ballast work. Which bulbs do you have? Can you take a picture of the ballast you are replacing, with wiring diagram and info?
