Unusual illness/disease (Chest pain)
My first encounter with this type of unexplained illness occurred in January 2010. One evening, at around 9 PM, I had experienced my first chest pain. The pain was constant, severe and sharp. It went from my chest to my lower abdomen and back to my chest. It sort of had a circular movement. I thought that the pain would disappear on its own but I was wrong; I couldn't take it anymore so, around midnight, I called 911 and was immediately rushed to the ER. The doctor on duty measured my blood pressure. It was staggering 200/120 therefore he immediately gave me a pill to lower it down. Moreover, he ran an EKG as well as Ultrasound test on me to see whether it will catch something, but the results were normal. He suspected I had a myocardial infarction so they took a blood test, but the blood test was normal, there were no signs of a heart attack. After that I was sent to do an ultrasound of my heart to see whether there are some irregularities, but all the results came back normal. Coming to a conclusion that all was fine with my heart and excluding all the possibilities I was released with an unknown diagnosis. One thing was sure, my heart was healthy. When I came home I was still experiencing the unbearable chest pain so I decided to take an antibiotic (broad specter). One hour later the pain went away.
My second encounter with the same symptom occurred in September 2010. I again went through the same process just to be sent home again with the same results. All was fine, my heart was fine, my EKG as well as my Ultrasound, but one thing remained the same, my BP. It was again 200/120. I just want to point out that my blood pressure during the year is absolutely normal. I had no headache, even when I had a high blood pressure during that time, which to doctors was astounding. The pain again went on its own when I drank an antibiotic (broad specter).
Since then this illness/disease had occurred three to four times, but the latest one occurred five to six days ago. After that I decided to go to my appointed doctor and complain to her about the chest pains. She redid all the tests again only to come back normal. She also sent me to do eighteen more blood tests, including measuring levels of enzymes from my thyroid gland, AST/ALT levels, urine tests and even a test for a Helicobacter. All the aforementioned tests came back negative or within the normal boundaries. My doctor was stunned. She had expected some of those to come back positive or out of the ordinary that could indicate a problem. Although the only thing that was slightly elevated was my erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), but it wasn't critical. I always thought that was due to the "cold" that I had had, but again I had no symptoms (running nose, cough, fever, fatigue, etc.). I still drink antibiotics on my own when I experience chest pains and it always soothes the pain and eventually it withdraws. However, my doctor said that she will give me a blood pressure holter monitor so that I can constantly measure my BP. She also said that I will again do an ultrasound of the heart.
So yesterday the pain was gone and my BP was 130/85. Today due to the bad weather I again caught some kind of cold, therefore I'm experiencing chest pains again and my BP is slowly elevating. Currently it is 148/98. I would like to point out that pain lasts for ours, sometimes more then ten ours.
