Hi. I just found out I'm pregnant and have been consuming liquor every other day. My LMP 9/19 and I missed my period on 10/19. My peroid is pretty normal and I start around the same time every month. I'm afraid that if I decide to keep my baby, I may have harmed the growth and development of may baby. Please help!!

It's unlikely that any drinking you've done in the last month will harm your baby. Your baby is a group of cells at this point, just starting to develop.

Now that you know that you're pregnant abstaining from alcohol is important, but really, don't worry about the drinks you had before you knew. We've all been there.

As long as you stop drinking from this point forward your baby should be fine.

Many women drink prior to finding out they are pregnant. The problems occur when the mother continues to drink outrageous amounts during the entire pregnancy.
