My car was parked legally in a car park and was hit by a lady. I did not see the incident but a witness got the drivers details, finally the police tracked her down. She admitted to everything and wanted to pay for damage, I got a quote that she isn't too happy about and is now looking to take pictures of the damage and try get other quotes! What are my rights? Can I insist she use my repairman or do I have to co operate? Thanks for reading this

Your choices

You file with your insurance, let them pay and allow them to sue her insurance.

You file a claim with her insurance.

You sue her in court for the value of the damate

She is entitled to get her own estimates. But she can't force you to choose who to do the repairs. If she gets her own estimates, she can pay the lowest estimate and you would have to sue for the damages.

My advice, file a claim with her insurer.
