    What is lack of sleep?
Just wondering... I've been staying up till like 5 in the morning for about 5 days now and I'm wondering, if I continue to do this, is this lack of sleep and can I die from this? I know probably another stupid question from me...

A human being can go for 11 days (I'm not sure if that's 100% accurate, but I know it's close) without sleep before the human will die.

The thing is, there aren't many people that don't have a medical condition, that can stay awake 11 days straight.

Why are you depriving your body of sleep? Yes, it's bad for you. So why are you doing it?

    How old are you?

What do you do during the day?

Do you exercise? Do you eat right before bed?

When do you eat supper, when is bedtime, and why are your parents not taking away your TV and playstation thing if you're staying up until 5am?

I have a 14 year old. He also has trouble sleeping. But, after 9pm he's not allowed snacks, no TV, no games, nothing. If he can't sleep he can read, but that's it. Guess what happens? Because he has no TV to watch, and no games to keep him up, he falls asleep.

Why are you eating so late at night. No wonder you can't sleep. You should be eating dinner around 6pm. Exercise at around 8 pm. Get a night light. Go to sleep.

You never did tell me why your parents are allowing you to watch TV and play video games until 5am.
