My water well system has a "(schrader)" needle valve, I think that's the name, in a pipe between the pump and the pressure switch. The pipe then continues to the tank, a Woodmans. I'm guessing the system may be from the '70's. The problem is 1) the water pressure gets fairly low before the pump takes effect on the system. (Pressure switch?) I turned it clockwise three flats of the nut,both cut in and cut out today. 2) the pin in the center of the valve is sunk, therefore not allowing airing up the system. My question is, has my system depressurized due to the sunk center pin? I can't put pressure in and no pressure escapes.
