    Sent home only 50% dilated
I am 3 cm dilated 50% effaced, I was just at the hospital for contractions every min to 2 minutes apart lasting a minute long. They sent me home because they said I am not progressing. This is my 2nd child and I'm in so much pain. What do I do?

    How far along are you?

You can increase your fluid intake, take Tylenol every 4 hours, warm baths if your membranes are not ruptured, benadryl to help you sleep.

If your cervix is not dilating with these contractions you are not in labor.

The definition of labor is cervical change with contractions.

Try increasing the amount of water you drink. Pregnant women can get dehydrated very very easily and dehydration can cause contractions that do not change the cervix.
