I have a small (4x4) half-bath. Putting in new tile floor. The tiles are 6.5"x6.5". My wife wants them laid in a diamond pattern in the room. Has anyone seen tile laid in this pattern in a small room? I haven't. Does it make a room look too busy? I've read that it might. How do I get started...

I'm currently remodeling my bathroom. The plan is to replace the toilet and vanity. Should I tile up to the vanity or install the tile prior to installing the vanity and have the tile under the edges of the new vanity? Thanks for the help!
