Itchy unexplainable rash
Hi, today I woke up with a really bad rash. It was all over the front and back of my neck and the bottom of my face. It wasn't just blotchy it was also raised and bumpy like hives.
Im not allergic to anything specific the only thing I could possibly think of that I ate was garlic fingers yesterday and after I had eaten them my lips were a little tingley but that went away quickly and nothing happened after that amd that would have been hours and hours ago. This rash is unexplainable.
I took benadryl earlier just in case and it seemed to calm down for an hour or two but it just came back full force. Now it is also on the tops of my hands by my thumbs, more on the back of my neck, still on the bottom of my face and all over my ears. I have no idea what this is!

Sounds like a classic case of Hand Foot and Mouth. There is a new strain going around right now that people of all ages are getting and it can be extremely irritating. However, it is a virus and has to run its course.

Its not on my feet though or in my mouth and it does not look like the pictures I have searched.

My son's wasn't in his mouth and it took 4 days to reach his feet. We originally thought it was an allergy to a new laundry soap until it spread day by day.
We went to the doctor who said there is a new strain going around and is very serious. Even people who have had it before are getting it again. Typically it is seen in toddlers in day care centers. Our doctor is seeing it in teens, preteens and even adults.

Okay , do you know if there is an outbreak in canada specifically ? And do I have to stay home, I have to go to work tomorrow and I wouldn't want anyone there to get it, but I don't want to miss work if it ends up being not that.

I can't tell you for certain whether it is that, it just sounds familiar. As for an outbreak in Canada, no I can't tell you as I am in the southern US.
If it IS hand foot and mouth, according to our doctor the period of contagion lasts for up to weeks after the rash disappears. He sent my son to school as being out of school or work for a virus is what he called "overkill."
