Non dui ard retail theft misdemeanor 2
I have an arraignment in 2 weeks for a retail theft charge. I hired a lawyer for the preliminary hearing but it was waived. He offered me either ARD or trial. Due to my financial situation I chose ARD. I had no idea I would have to rehire him for the next step which is arraignment/ARD process. I do not qualify for a public defender. My attorney suggested me going to the arraignment myself-plead not guilty. Turn in my ARD application and continuance form. Do I have a better chance being accepted into ARD with an attorney ? How can I find a lawyer I can afford with so little time?
